Denon Combo - PRA-1000 Preamplifier - POA-1500 Power Amplifier 150W RMS
There's no debating that Denon Audio Components from the 70's & 80s were/are ultra cool. You would have typically walked out of a local Tweeter store a few thousand lighter and towing this stack along with a DP-52 Table in the matching rosewood finish. They'd push a set of Snell or KEF speaker into the mix and you'd be gobsmacked at the way it all came together in their soundroom. You would fly home with all your new goodies and get to spinning your best Tears For Fears, Duran Duran or maybe Bananarama, lol. This set is SO 80's it should be wearing Parachute Pants and Wayfarers.
With plenty of jam the POA-1500 posts 150 Watts per/channel into an 8ohm load. Its a high current design with tons of headroom for a truly dynamic presentation. Big A_s meters complete the New Wave vibe. Partnered here is the equally impressive PRA-1000. This was the staple preamp to control all your other gear and to partner with the POA-1500. This preamp has a "killer" phono stage as it was central to Denon's ability to showcase their TTs and Cartridges. Comes complete with input for (2) tables and is both MC and MM compliant. Make no mistake, this is a precision audio component couple that is both beautiful, with its rosewood side panels and brushed stainless face, as well as being acknowledged as true 80s high end.
