The JBL 4310 is a professional monitor developed by JBL in collaboration with recording studios. It's a 3-way, 3-speaker, bass reflex type speaker. JBL developed the 4310 for American studios that wanted a small enclosure. It quickly became one of JBL's most successful products and paved the way for more products in the monitor series.
The 4310 has a LE20 tweeter, which distinguishes it from the later L100 Century. The 4310 and 4311 should be mounted so that the bass driver sits on top of the midrange driver and the tweeter.
The 4311 was introduced in 1974 to replace the 4310, with a similar design.
